WESTERN PROVINCE PLGO IMPRESSED WITH THE PROGRESS OF THE CONSTRUCTION WORKS OF THE KAOMA COMMUNITY HALL.

The Western Province Local Government Officer, Mr. Nixon Nkwapu, has expressed satisfaction with the progress of the Kaoma Community Hall construction project.

During a monitoring visit last week Friday, Mr. Nkwapu toured the site and commended the contractors on the excellent work being done.

“The government is impressed with the construction works, which are progressing according to schedule,” Mr. Nkwapu said. “We are optimistic that the project will be completed within the contractual timeframe,” he further said.

Kaoma Town Council Secretary, Ms. Lisa Mpasela, thanked the government officials for their visit and ongoing guidance on project implementation.

Ms. Mpasela disclosed that the K2.3 million project is funded by the World Bank through the Zambia Devolution Support Program.

Kaoma Town Council embarked on the construction of the Community Hall after the community members proposed the project during a series of engagement meetings with the Local Authority.

Once completed, the facility is expected to provide a central gathering place for residents to socialize, build relationships, and foster a sense of community.
